Scope of Certification
The mill will define the area that will supply the sugarcane. It doesn't have to be all of it at this stage.
The mill, in collaboration with the farmers, implements practices that support the Standard.
Mills regularly monitor compliance to monitor progress towards sustainability.
Once any gaps have been closed, the mill or farm contacts a Bonsucro Licensed Certification Body to arrange an audit. The objective is to collect proof that the mill and the supplying farms comply with the Standard.Find a Licensed Certification Body
If the audit highlights any points of non-compliance, this is an opportunity to correct them.
If the mill and farms can prove they are compliant with the Standard, they're issued a certificate to make it official. They're then able to sell Bonsucro-certified products, and say that they're a Bonsucro Certified Member.Get Certified
