Help create a certification system with a component that is tailored for smallholders

Smallholder farmers are a crucial component in many sugarcane industries around the world. To ensure that smallholders have the same opportunities for performance improvement as other producers, Bonsucro is embarking on a review of the Bonsucro Production Standard and the Certification System in the smallholder context.

We are forming a Smallholder Steering Committee and are looking for people with a range of experience with smallholders and global representation from across the value chain to participate.

Commitment includes online meetings every month/two months over a one-year period. The committee will begin with a review of the Standard, followed by formulating a recommended solution to be presented to Bonsucro’s Technical Advisory Board.
