The Assurance Manager is the focal point for all aspects of Bonsucro’s Assurance System. The postholder will be responsible for maintaining and improving the credibility, relevance and quality of Bonsucro audits and certifications and also responsible for developing further related projects such as training, auditor competencies and assurance data collection. The Assurance Manager will work closely with the Director, Standards & Innovation and the Standards Manager, as well as other staff members. The role will be the primary contact point for certification bodies, and will have some engagement with Bonsucro’s Technical Advisory Board, ISEAL and other external experts.
The ideal candidate will have significant experience of certification, assurance models and processes, as well as a strong understanding of sustainability standards. As Accounts Assistant you will support the Finance & Risk Manager with all aspects of the finance function. Bonsucro is looking for a passionate, dedicated and creative individual to join our team for an Communications & Events Assistantship. This is a paid position, ideally for 4-5 days per week for six months, although we can be flexible for the right person. It will be based out of our global headquarters in London, UK. The assistant will report to our Communications Manager.
The Communications & Events Assistant will assist the Communications Manager in online and offline communications. In addition, s/he will support the team in London and our Regional Directors in Latin America, Africa and Asia in the organisation of events including trainings, regional summits, and our flagship annual event, Bonsucro Global Week, which will take place in March 2019 in Thailand.
Code of Conduct Consultant
Bonsucro is looking for an experienced consultant to support a working group of its Members’ Council to carry out stakeholder consultations and to produce a work plan for the revision of Bonsucro’s Code of Conduct by March 2019.
The first and only version of the Bonsucro Code of Conduct was published in 2011 and has never been reviewed since then. Bonsucro has, nonetheless, been through a major strategy shift and engagement with members has changed considerably since 2011.

The Consultant will be responsible for:
- Conducting the assignment
- Arranging and conducting interviews, meetings, etc.
- The day–to–day management of the project

Data Innovation Coordinator
An exciting role at the heart of Bonsucro’s efforts to support the scaling up of a sustainable sugarcane sector though science and data.
Bonsucro was founded in a belief in the power of data to drive change on sustainability. We collect large amounts of data through the certification process from sugarcane farms, mills, manufacturers covering social, environmental and economic fields. Much of this data is digitised on our tailor-made Connect Platform.
The role of Data Innovation Coordinator focuses on managing, analysing and utilizing the Bonsucro database to provide added value to our members and to demonstrate the impact of Bonsucro, helping to inform continuous improvement solutions. In this role, you will undertake research and data analysis, support the development of the Bonsucro data management strategy and aid the organisation’s efforts in becoming more data-driven and digitised. You will provide support to the Standards & Innovations team and the Regional teams in Asia, Southern Africa and Latin America, providing colleagues with the effective analysis around key sustainability topics and issues. You will also engage with external stakeholders as directed by your line manager.
