Géraldine Kutas becomes new vice-chair of Bonsucro Board

We’re excited to welcome Géraldine Kutas to Bonsucro’s Board of Directors as its Vice Chair. Géraldine currently head’s UNICA’s (the Brazilian Sugarcane Association) International Affairs operation in Brussels.

“I feel very honoured to become a board member of Bonsucro, a platform I helped to develop in its early days”, said Géraldine. “I’ll put all my energy and my knowledge on sugarcane at the service of its further development. I hope to contribute, under the leadership of Bonsucro’s chair, to the improvement of the overall sustainability of the sector.”

Géraldine’s appointment further strengthens an already impressive Board of Directors, which includes Jonathan Kingsman as its Chair, Eduardo Brunet as the Chair of the Governance & Nominations Committee, Diane Stevenson as the Members’ Council Chair, and Rob Cocco as the Finance & Risk Committee Chair. Jonathan Kingsman welcomed the Board’s newest member, “I am delighted that Géraldine has agreed to join the board as Vice Chair. Her experience and her passion for sustainability will be a great asset to the organisation and I look forward to working with her.”

At UNICA since 2007, Géraldine was responsible for defining and leading the entity’s international activities. A seasoned professional specialising in international trade policy, she leverages over a decade of experience to strengthen UNICA’s activities across the European Union, the United States and Asia. She has deep expertise in biofuels and agricultural policies, coupled with extensive exposure to multilateral and regional trade negotiations in agriculture. Géraldine has a Ph.D. in International Economics from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris.
